Karachi: Intense heat has enveloped the city, while during this time, load shedding from the electricity supply in various areas is exacerbating the discomfort of the residents.
In Karachi, the electricity authorities have reportedly initiated a series of scheduled and unscheduled load shedding, ranging from 12 to 12 hours, in most areas.
As a result, not only are urban dwellers suffering from various ailments due to the extreme heat, but educational activities for children are also severely affected.
Metric board examinations are also underway in Karachi, and during the exams, reports of load shedding in many areas have surfaced.
Continuous load shedding for several hours has devastated the city’s business activities. Residents report that in many areas,
the cumulative duration of load shedding has reached up to 12 hours, leaving urban life disrupted.
Some areas are experiencing load shedding even late into the night, depriving residents of peaceful sleep.
Areas most affected by load shedding include Korangi, Landhi, Shah Faisal Colony, Malir, Surjani Town, Orangi Town, Kemari, Lyari, Mahmoodabad, Nazimabad, and several others.
