In various parts of Punjab, including the provincial capital Lahore, the wholesale price of chicken meat has dropped by 60 rupees per kilogram.
The decrease in the price of chicken meat is attributed to lower demand due to Eid ul Fitr preparations as people opted for other food items.
Amidst the chicken boycott, the price of meat has decreased by 60 rupees per kilogram in cities across Punjab, including Lahore.

Last week, chicken meat was being sold between 477 to 490 rupees per kilogram, but by the end of the week, the price had dropped to 415-420 rupees per kilogram.
The current price of live chicken, Broilers, is 265 rupees per kilogram, which is lower than last week’s 305 rupees.
Similarly, a slight increase has been observed in the price of a dozen eggs, with a new price set at 258 rupees.
The cost of a full crate of approximately 350 eggs is now 7,620 rupees – representing an increase of around 60 rupees.
