The Punjab Government is preparing to start transferring and posting teachers in government schools by June 1, 2024.
Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat announced this after responding to queries about the process, which is set to begin in ten days.

This move aims to help teachers who have been awaiting transfers for a long time, often facing challenges commuting to schools far from their homes.
Many teachers, especially women, struggle with transportation costs and long commutes. Some have applied for transfers due to medical reasons, hoping to relocate closer to medical facilities.
The government’s decision is expected to bring relief to employees, allowing them to move closer to their families or desired locations. Earlier, the Punjab School Education Department had also lifted restrictions on pending transfers.
