Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has instructed all ministries to strengthen their ties to accelerate the pace of economic development – particularly under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
Addressing a meeting in Islamabad on Tuesday regarding various projects under the umbrella of CPEC and Chinese investment in Pakistan, he made it clear that no delay would be tolerated in the completion of CPEC projects.
The Prime Minister urged all ministries to collaborate more efficiently in speeding up progress in the second phase of CPEC, warning against any negligence from ministries and government officials.
Emphasizing on providing foolproof security to Chinese workers, he stated that promoting trade and commercial relations with China is imperative for the future prosperity, along with fostering friendly relations.
He informed the meeting that Pak-China partnership is currently at its peak, therefore, relevant officials and departments should strive for positive outcomes from these relations.
Federal ministers Ahsan Iqbal, Mohammad Orangzaib, Jam Kamal Khan, Ahad Khan Cheema, Rana Tanveer Hussain, Qaisar Ahmed Sheikh,
Sardar Owais Khan Leghari, Dr. Musaddiq Malik, and Abdalalim Khan, as well as SAPM Tarek Fatimy and the Prime Minister’s coordinator Rana Ahsan Afzal, along with other senior officials, attended the meeting.
