How to Apply?

Candidates are advised to read and understand the General Instructions displayed on FPSC’s website before submitting their applications.

The eligibility of candidates will be determined according to the Commission’s policy stated in the General Instructions.

It is important for candidates to update themselves by going through these instructions before applying. The application process is as follows:

(i) It is mandatory to submit all applications online through FPSC’s website www.fpsc.gov.pk.
(ii) Candidates are allowed to make amendments to their online applications only once before the closing date, in case of any errors or omissions.
(iii) The information provided in the online application form will be considered final.
(iv) Any claims of experience that were not initially mentioned in the online form will be regarded as an afterthought and an attempt to gain eligibility. Such subsequent claims will not be accepted.
(v) Detailed instructions and guidelines for applying online can be found on the website.
(vi) Applicants are not required to submit a hardcopy of their online application.

(vii) General Recruitment cases will not accept any manual applications. Only online applications will be processed and accepted before the announced cut-off date for each respective case. Application Fee: (i) The fee rates for different posts are as follows: BS-16 to 17 – Rs. 300; BS-18 – Rs. 750; BS-19 – Rs. 1200; BS-20 and above – Rs. 1500 (ii) The fee can be deposited before the closing date at the nearest Government treasury, a branch of National Bank of Pakistan, or a State treasury authorized to transact business on behalf of the Government under the head “C02101-ORGANS OF STATE EXAMINATION FEE REALIZED BY FPSC”. Bank drafts, cheques, and postal orders will not be accepted.

(iii) The original T.R should be kept and presented to the supervisory staff during the test examination at the designated Center stated in the Admission Certificates. Photocopies or bank scrolls will not be accepted.
(iv) The T.R should not be sent to FPSC beforehand but should be provided during the test examination or when requested.
Relaxation in the upper age limit: The maximum age limit stated in the Recruitment Rules can be relaxed for initial appointments to civil posts, in accordance with the rules outlined in the Civil Posts (Relaxation of Upper Age Limit) Rules, 1993 (as amended over time). Further details can be found in paragraph 6 of the General Instructions available on FPSC’s website www.fpsc.gov.pk.
Shortlisting criteria for interviews:

The Commission’s policy, outlined in paragraph 16 (A, B&C) of the General Instructions, will be used to shortlist candidates for interviews. The candidates must provide the necessary documents.

Following the test exam, candidates who rank higher in their respective quota will be required to provide attested copies of necessary documents, such as two photographs, Matric, Intermediate certificates,

Bachelor’s, Master’s, M.Phil, Ph.D Degrees, CNIC, Experience Certificate (if applicable) with a detailed job description issued by an authorized officer of the relevant Ministry Division Department, Domicile Certificate,

Departmental Permission Certificate (for government employees), and Original TR (for non-test cases) within 15 days of receiving the notice from FPSC through mail, SMS, and email.

(ii) Candidates must provide an equivalence certificate issued by HEC to authenticate their claim of having the required degree equivalence when applying to FPSC.
(iii) Experience gained from nationally or internationally recognized Firms, Companies, Institutions, Organizations, Banks, NGOs, etc. will be considered valid if they are registered and incorporated with the relevant government department/institution for conducting business, maintain office(s), and possess a proper registration number or reference number, if applicable.

(iv) If candidates do not provide the necessary documents within the specified time or provide incorrect or incomplete information, their candidacy will be rejected. Therefore, they are advised to have their documents prepared for submission to FPSC by the deadline.

(v) The request for documents should not be interpreted as the candidate being shortlisted for an interview, as their eligibility will be determined based on the documents and merit position. The eligibility of candidates will be considered up until the closing date. 8. Admission Certificate:

The Admission Certificate for the Screening Descriptive Test for the respective posts will be available on the FPSC website, www.fpsc.gov.pk, a few weeks before the actual examination date. Candidates should regularly check the website for any updates and they will also receive notifications through SMS.

However, no information will be sent through postal mail. Candidates must bring their original CNIC, Treasury Receipt, and a downloaded copy of the Admission Certificate when appearing for the Screening Written Test.

(ii) Candidates will only be allowed entry in the Examination Hall if they have the original Treasury Receipt. A photocopy of the T.R Bank Scroll will not be accepted. It is recommended that candidates keep the original T.R to avoid any inconvenience when entering the Examination Halls.

(iii) The Test Examination for Consolidated Advt. No. 7 2023 is expected to take place approximately 2 months after the closing date. However, if there are a limited number of candidates, the test examination may be conducted earlier.

Candidates applying for the position of Assistant Private Secretary (BS-16) will be invited to take the Test at designated centers in Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, and Quetta.

However, this will only occur if there are enough candidates available at each center. Only those who pass the Typing Test will be eligible to participate in the Shorthand & Computer literacy tests.

Candidates are permitted to request a change in their Examination Centre by submitting an online request at least one month prior to the start of the examination. The deadline for submitting applications is Monday, 24th July, 2023.
