The federal government administration in Islamabad has announced an increase in renewal fees for learner permits, various categories of driving licenses, and licenses.
This development follows the Punjab government’s move to revise the structure of driving license fees a few months ago.
According to the notification issued from the office of the Chief Commissioner, the new fees for driving licenses will be implemented immediately.
In May 2024, Islamabad administration has unveiled the revised fee structure for new driving licenses. In Islamabad, the fees for learner driving permits have been increased from PKR 349 to PKR 1000, effective May 2024.
The fees for motorcycle + motor car driving licenses (non-professional) have been raised from PKR 1800 to PKR 3000.
The fees for professional licenses (LTV and HTV) have been increased from PKR 2100 to PKR 10,000.
The fee for digital driving license cards has been raised to PKR 2000.

Renewal fee for driving license from May 2024:
Within 30 days, the renewal fee for a driving license is set at PKR 2000, while it is PKR 3500 after thirty days but within one year of the license expiry date.
Within three years of license expiry, the renewal fee is set at PKR 3000.
The renewal fee for learner permits is PKR 500, while the fee for duplicate licenses is PKR 3000.
The restoration fee for suspended licenses in Islamabad has been increased to PKR 20,000.
