Islamabad: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has announced the information of all other provincial and federal government departments besides astronomical institutions.
Under the leadership of Prime Minister Mian Mohammad Shahbaz Sharif, an important review meeting was held regarding the affairs of the Ministry of Information and the Information Commission,
in which the roadmap for the information program 2024-2029 was presented by the Ministry of Information and the Information Commission.
In the meeting, the Prime Minister, while announcing the information of all government departments other than astronomical state-owned institutions,
said that whether the other state-owned institutions are profitable or loss-making besides astronomical state-owned institutions, they should be utilized efficiently.
The Prime Minister directed all federal ministries in this regard and emphasized cooperation with the Information Commission, stating that transparency should be given top priority in information processes.
Shahbaz Sharif said that the government’s job is not only to do business but to create a conducive environment for business and investment, providing facilities and ease in this regard.
Information from government-owned institutions will lead to savings in tax evasion money and will help in improving the quality of service delivery with this money.
The Prime Minister, while instructing to broadcast various important stages including the Pakistan International Airlines Company Ltd on television, said that the stages of other departments’ information should also be broadcast directly.
On this occasion, the participants of the meeting were given a detailed briefing on the presentation regarding the information of government-owned institutions,
which stated that the process of qualifying the information related to PIAC will be completed by the end of May.
Consultation on the necessary consultation regarding the Roseville Hotel information is ongoing, while government-to-government transactions with the United Arab Emirates are underway with the First Women Bank Ltd.
It was informed in the briefing that the electricity distribution companies have been included in the information program 2024-2029.
Loss-making government-owned institutions will be utilized on a priority basis. A qualified panel of experts is being appointed in the Information Commission to expedite and streamline the process of information.

Federal Minister for Commerce Jamal Kamal Khan, Federal Minister for Energy (Poor Division) Owais Ahmed Khan Laghari, Federal Minister for Information Abdul Alalim Khan,
Minister for Petroleum Musaddiq Malik, Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Ahad Khan Chima, Prime Minister’s Coordinator Rana Ahsan Afzal, and relevant senior government officials participated.
