Govt of Punjab Announces 30,000 Teaching Jobs in All Punjab 2024

The Punjab government has decided to recruit 30,000 visiting teachers in the first phase to address the shortage of teachers in schools. Both male and female candidates will be eligible for these teaching positions.

Currently, the entire Punjab is facing a shortage of 115,000 teachers in the education department. The last significant recruitment of teachers in Punjab took place in 2018, during Nawaz Sharif’s tenure.

During the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government, only 400 to 500 teachers were hired. The current government is considering recruiting 30,000 teachers on a visiting basis across Punjab. These teachers will be provided salaries equivalent to lecturers’ jobs.

The Punjab government intends to allocate additional funds to the school education department to ensure the full payment of teachers’ salaries. Adequate funding will be crucial to meeting the various expenses of the education department.
